Michał Zaleski, the Mayor of Torun, awarded the "Patron of Sport 2017" title (Mecenas Sportu 2017) to a record-breaking number of 70 companies that support Torun sports clubs. Among them, there was the producer of Nestlé breakfast cereals, the Cereal Partners Poland Torun-Pacific company, which has been the main sponsor of the PACIFIC Cycling Club in Torun since 1994 and has been supporting the international figure-skating events at Tor-Tor for 10 years.

On the occasion of the CPW Supervisory Board Meeting in Warsaw, members of the General Mills' Management Board payed a visit to Torun and Lubicz, where they had the opportunity to meet the Cereal Partners Poland team and to see the cereal and cereal bar factories. They were impressed with the use of continuous improvement tools, including the Total Performance Management system, by the Polish team.

It was the second time that the CPW Supervisory Board Meeting took place in Poland; for the first time, it happened in Warsaw. The meeting was attended by General Mills' and Nestlé SA's Management Boards together with their Chairmen, Jeff Harmening and Mark Schneider respectively, who are the shareholders in CPW. The first meeting in Poland of both the Management Boards was held twenty years ago in Torun.

A medal in the World Youth Championships. Two medals in the European Junior Championships. Fifteen medals in the Polish Championships. With such achievements, Nestlé Fitness Cycling Team ends the 2017 season. Everyone is in awe of these male and female cyclist, so young, talented and full of enthusiasm for hard work. The experienced club trainers, Marian Krych and Leszek Szyszkowki, the sport director, have contributed much to these achievements.

Together with the municipality of Lubicz, Cereal Partners Poland funded a fully-equipped fighting truck for the fire fighters. The truck can contain 3000l of water and 200l of foam-making liquid. The celebrations of the 140th anniversary of  fire brigade in Lubicz took place on September 2.

Karolina Karasiewicz’s victory in the Polish Road Race Championships is described as unexpected or sensational. For the “Cereals” President her victory is not a surprise but the proof that women’s professional races in Poland are constantly improving and that Polish contestants can compete with cyclists taking part in races around the world. It is very much to the credit of the coaching staff of the PACIFIC Cycling Club in Torun, which has been supported by the producer of Nestlé Cereals, Cereal Partners Poland Torun-Pacific company. On Monday, there was a press conference in the head office of the company with a participation of the champion, who was congratulated by Wojciech B. Sobieszak, the company’s President.

Karolina Karasiewicz (Nestle Fitness Cycling Team) won the 3rd edition of women’s cycling criterium Nestle Fitness Tour de Toruń – the race on the Polish championship level. Despite the collision, broken front fork and the necessity to change the bike, she managed to collect the most points in overall 25 laps.

The sum-up of the 4th edition of students? workshop, 2017-05-24

Fifty students took part in the summary of this year’s Yes4YETI (Youth Employment and Training Initiative) workshop for students, which was organized 4th year in a row by Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific in the cooperation with academies of Bydgoszcz and Toruń. The workshop participants received the diplomas certifying the completion of the program. The best students’ works were awarded with special recognition. The representatives of the University of Nicolaus Copernicus, University of Science and Technology in Bydgoszcz as well as WSB University in Toruń participated in the sum-up of the project. Those were the academies that participated in this year’s edition of Yes4YETI program.

This year’s edition of „Złota Setka Pomorza i Kujaw” (Golden Hundred of Kuyavian-Pomeranian Region), the list of the best companies in the region according to „Gazeta Pomorska” was preceded by a discussion on „100 changes for companies”, which is the government set of facilitations for entrepreneurs.Among the invited there was Wojciech B. The largest regional daily newspaper in Poland “Gazeta Pomorska” has awarded the winners of the Personality of the Year 2016 contest. The winner of the Business category was Wojciech B. Sobieszak, who has been Cereal Partners Poland Torun-Pacific CEO for many years now. The editorial committee nominated W. Sobieszak to participate in the contest for excellent results his company achieved in 2016.

Last Saturday there were Wilam statues awarded to the theatre’s friends and co-operators, as well as the most popular actor. This year the winner of the last award, traditionally chosen by the audience Łukasz Ignasiński, a graduate of PWST in Cracow, who has been working at Horzyca Theatre since 2009. On Saturday night he left the stage with a Wilam statue and a voucher for a trip abroad, founded by Cereal Partners Poland company. The winner received the voucher from the company’s CEO Wojciech B. Sobieszak.

Last week in Lausanne Dave Homer, Head of Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW), a global company Torun-Pacific is a part of since 1994, has awarded Poland with a title of the second market in the world in terms of 2016 sales results, profit and market share.

On Wednesday, Mr Karol Ferster celebrated 40 years of his cooperation with Toruń “Starch Plant”, which later became Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific, nowadays a potentate in the breakfast products market. Mr Karol Ferster started his adventure with the new employee as an automation engineer at the newly erected cornflakes line. Today he is a Vice-President, responsible for technical and production operations of the company. It was due to his contribution that in time the “Starch Plant” started to be called the “Flakes”.

This year's annual Toruń Sportsman's Ball again was the event with the cycling accents. Leszek Szyszkowski, Sports Director of Toruń Cycling Club “Pacific”, was awarded a title of the Coach of the Year, Olympic athletes Edyta Jasińska and Natalia Rutkowska were in the gold ten of the Sportsman of the Year Plebiscite, and Wojciech B. Sobieszak together with managed by him Cereal Partners Poland Toruń-Pacific were recognised by the President of Toruń for their long-term contribution to promotion of Toruń sports brand.

On Saturday, at the Tear Wielki - Polish National Opera in Warsaw, Business Centre Club recognised the best Polish entrepreneurs. The manufacturer of Nestlé breakfast cereals from Toruń, the company Cereal Partner Poland, was amongst them. For the 15th time already, President Wojciech Sobieszak received The Diamond of the Leader of the Polish Business. Pope Francis and Chancellor Angela Merkel were honoured with this year's Special Awards.

This year's Marshal Charity Ball assembled a record number of guests. Last Saturday, over 300 prominent guests from Pomorze and Kujawy region took part in the event at CKK Jordanki. The income from the auction and ticket sales went to accounts of charity organisations, including the “Światło” Foundation from Toruń. One of the most valuable items at this year's auction, a graphic by Jerzy Duda-Gracz, was won by Aleksander Wasilewski, Vice-President of Cereal Partners Poland.
